As the UK’s leading supplier of Alloy and Steel Wheels, it’s important for us to get settled in to our new location quickly. Having recently relocated, it’s taken a couple of weeks, but we are all now settled in to our new workspaces, and we’ve (nearly) managed to put the c20,000 alloy and steel wheels into their new homes. We’ll be running a full feature on our new and improved facility when we are fully settled in (essentially, once the warehouse lads have finished tidying everything up – they’re true workhorses!) – and we expect this to get a nice bit of media coverage in the automotive press.
The warehouse team have worked tirelessly to get all our wheels into their new homes, the aisles are filling up nicely, and although there are a few yet to be rehomed, it has been pleasing to see how quickly this job has been completed. This job had to be carried out whilst we tried to continue selling wheels and tyres to our nationwide network of retail partners – and with the deluge of snow the UK experienced this month, we’ve been inundated with winter wheel and tyre orders – helping customers to get around safely, despite the treacherous conditions.
Despite a few wheels needing new homes, we are receiving containers full of new wheels ready for the 2013 season. We pride ourselves on offering the very best in customer service and product availability and think that we’ve stocked up on the designs you will want the most, including some stunning new additions for the 2013 collection which are now starting to arrive. As I write this, the team are unloading yet another container of alloy wheels. The anticipation of some of these new arrivals is very high indeed, especially as we start to add these to the new catalogue which will be landing with retailers in February/March. We’ll be unveiling these wheels here and in our press first, so watch this space to get the jump on our new range.
In addition to the warehouse operation, the Sales, Marketing, Administration and Management team are now settling down at their new desks – continuing to work hard to deliver the very best in product, sales and aftersales support. With a new office comes a new ethos, whereby a change of scenery seems to have given the team a new work ethic – The team is in an open plan setting, where all departments can communicate freely and easily, allowing for extra inter-departmental efficiency. We’ve even taken a leaf out of Google and other modern “cool” companies’ book and added a breakout area, complete with stress-busting Playstation 3 – thus far, it seems emplyoing Dave (our new Business Development Manager for the South and Ireland) may have been a mistake as he is fairly astute when it comes to playing Fifa!
We’ll do a full piece on our new warehouse and office operation very soon, watch this space to see it in all it’s glory; and keep an eye on our blog and press feeds for the latest product news coming very soon.
